RSSI, REMSA, & RSI at Railway Interchange 2025

Railway Interchange 2025 was a resounding success, drawing over 4,000 attendees from 43 countries to North America’s largest railway conference and trade show. Held in Indianapolis, the event featured 459 exhibitors showcasing their companies, products, and innovations over three dynamic days in the exhibit hall.

RSSI Exhibit Hall: A Hub of Innovation

The Railway Systems Suppliers, Inc. (RSSI) exhibit hall was a focal point of the event, featuring a wide array of technologies essential to the safe and efficient movement of trains. RSSI members presented some of the most advanced solutions in rail communications and signaling.

On the morning of Tuesday, May 20, RSSI hosted a well-attended Communications & Signaling (C&S) Panel Discussion, moderated by Carl Walker, Vice President of Engineering for C&S, PTC, and Dispatch Systems at CSX Railroad. The panel included top C&S managers from Class I Railroads, Conrail, and Amtrak, offering valuable insights to both customers and suppliers.

Keynote Presentation

The event’s keynote featured Mike McClellan, Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer at Norfolk Southern, in conversation with Tony Hatch, Analyst and Consultant at ABH Consulting. Their discussion explored current trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the rail ecosystem.

Networking Highlights

Two exhibit hall receptions provided opportunities for exhibitors and attendees to connect in a relaxed setting. A standout was the Indianapolis 500-themed reception, which included a Railway Interchange-branded Indy car, a DJ on a bubble-blowing Segway, and fun giveaways—adding a festive touch to the professional atmosphere.

RSSI Social Event

RSSI hosted their social event on Tuesday night from 6 PM to 9 PM. The event featured an Indy 500 race theme, complete with race car simulators, corn hole games, and photo booths. Several different types of food stations were located throughout the Marriott Ballroom, offering a wide variety of excellent food and drinks. It was a lively and enjoyable evening for all attendees.
